Dear Henry Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year!

We are thrilled to begin another exciting year of learning, growth, and creativity at Henry Elementary—Media, Visual & Performing Arts School. Our school-wide theme this year is “Learning is a Journey…Enjoy the Ride!”, and we can't wait to hit the road together with our students and families.

As part of our year-long road trip adventure, we have special activities planned to keep our students motivated and engaged. One of our most exciting additions is the Henry Prize Vault, where students can earn individual and house points for demonstrating our core values of Respect, Responsibility, and Safety. These points contribute to both personal rewards and house competitions, making every positive choice count!

We’ll continue to celebrate our young readers through our Million Words Club, where students earn certificates at 100,000, 250,000, and 500,000 words—and a special t-shirt when they reach one million words read. We love recognizing our scholars' efforts and milestones!

Our weekly House Rallies will also continue every Friday at 8:30 AM, bringing our school community together to celebrate achievements, cheer each other on, and build unity across all grade levels. One of the most exciting events to kick off the year will be our Sorting Ceremony, where our 1st graders and new students will be welcomed into their permanent houses here at Henry. It’s a moment full of pride and joy!

For our parents and guardians, we’re excited to offer Parent Academy opportunities throughout the year—providing resources, learning sessions, and support to help you best support your Henry student(s). We also deeply value and appreciate our parent volunteers! If you're interested in volunteering, please stop by the office to pick up a volunteer application.

Our goal is to continue to build a strong partnership between home and school, and we know that with your continued support, this year will be one to remember.
