    Hello Garcia Grizzly Families,

Once again I am Gilbert Pulido, your proud principal of Ernest Garcia Elementary. It is with great pleasure and excitement that I welcome you and your child to the 2024 - 2025 academic school year. Last year was a great year and this year we are looking to do the same. I look forward to serving you, your child, and our community.

Our dedicated staff at Garcia is committed to providing an exceptional educational experience for your child, focusing on both their academic growth and their social and emotional well-being. Ensuring the safety of our community remains a top priority, and we will continue to adapt our procedures as needed. Your ongoing support is appreciated as we guide our students through their academic journey.

The Garcia family is excited to partner with you and your children to make this school year memorable. We encourage all of our Grizzlies to enjoy their learning experience and understand that LEARNING IS AN ADVENTURE. We look forward to working together to achieve great things.

    SOMETHING FOR THE HOME
Here are some important reminders for this school year:
    • Student Drop-Off: Drop-off begins at 7:40 AM. Gates will open at this time, to ensure students are safe and supervised by staff.
    • Punctuality: Please ensure your child arrives on time at the start of the day and is picked up promptly at dismissal.
    • Breakfast: Students will continue to receive breakfast in their classrooms.
    • Contact Information: It is crucial to update your contact information. ED Code requires parents to provide schools with current and functional contact details.
    • Water Bottles: We strongly encourage students to bring labeled, refillable water bottles. There are several water dispensing stations available throughout our campus, both indoors and outdoors.
    • Volunteers: This year, volunteers are welcome on campus. All volunteers must obtain approval and complete the necessary paperwork through the district office before volunteering.
    • Class Assignments: We will not be changing student classes this year. We aim to foster strong relationships between students and teachers to enhance the learning experience.
