    Hello Garcia Grizzly Families, 
     
    I’m Gilbert Pulido, proud principal of Ernest Garcia Elementary, and it is with great excitement that I welcome you and your scholar to the 2025–2026 school year! Last year was filled with growth, achievement, and unforgettable moments—and this year, we’re committing to 'cutting' out all distractions, 'tightening' our study habits, 'hitting' the books, 'measuring' our success, and 'nailing' those TESTS! Together, we will “Construct a Brighter Future for All of our Students”.
     
    Our entire Garcia team is eager to welcome back our students and families. We are committed to providing an exceptional learning experience where every child feels seen, supported, and challenged academically, socially, and emotionally. The safety and well-being of our community remains our top priority, and we will continue to adapt and improve our systems as needed to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

    SOMETHING FOR THE HOME
    ​
    As we get ready to launch into another exciting year, here are a few important reminders:
    • Student Drop-Off: Gates open at 7:30 AM, and staff will be present to welcome and supervise students.
    • Punctuality Matters: Please make sure your child arrives on time and is picked up promptly at dismissal.
    • Breakfast: Breakfast will continue to be served in the classroom each morning.
    • Updated Contact Information: Please be sure we have your most current and working contact details on file, as required by Education Code.
    • Water Bottles: We encourage all students to bring a labeled, refillable water bottle. Water stations are available throughout our campus.
    • Volunteers Welcome: We’re thrilled to welcome volunteers back on campus! All volunteers must be approved through the district office and complete the necessary paperwork prior to volunteering.
    • Class Assignments: This year, no class changes will be made. We believe that consistency helps build strong, lasting relationships between students and their teachers.

    We are proud to partner with you as we guide our Grizzlies through another year of learning, discovery, and growth. Let’s remember that together we will Construct a Brighter Future for All of our Students.  Let’s have a fantastic 2025–2026 school year!
