Welcome to the 2021-22 school year. I am Dr. Caroline Sweeney, and I am the proud Principal of Rialto High School.
This year is a year like no other. We are returning to campus, in-person, after more than a year in distance learning. Freshman and Sophomores, we have never taught you in person. Juniors and Seniors, welcome back we have missed you.
In preparation for this year, we at Rialto High School have spent endless hours solidifying student schedules, getting rooms ready, adjusting our curriculum; all in anticipation of you returning to campus.

The first step in our return is our on-campus registration. Registration will be the week of July 26 – 30th following the schedule below.
Class of 2022 (Seniors)
Class of 2023 (Juniors)
Class of 2024 (Sophomores)
Class of 2025 (Freshman)
If your student cannot make their appropriate time, they may come to any time after what was assigned, not before. (Example: A Junior with last name that begins with Q cannot make their Tuesday afternoon registration time. The may come anytime on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday but cannot come in on Tuesday or at all on Monday morning.)
At registration, your student will receive a student ID (so come prepared to take a picture), their class schedule this year, a computer and protective sleeve, and may purchase an ASB card or PE clothes if they want or need. All that needs to be done before a student arrives at registration is their online enrollment verification must be completed. If you have completed your online enrollment verification, only the student needs to attend, please not the parent, guardian, or siblings on campus.
We can’t wait for you to see what awaits your student at Rialto High. We have eight career pathways that range from Construction to Sports Medicine. We have an award winning MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Achievement) program. We have our AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program that can help guide you to college. We have a strong PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program. This does not include our vast VAPA (Visual and Performing Arts) program and an Athletic Program that trains champions.
Parents, we are looking forward to seeing and hearing from you as well. We have a small, but mighty School Site Council (SSC) that is looking for new members. Our English Language Advisory Council (ELAC) meets monthly to learn the pulse of the campus and support their students in all endeavors. We have Coffee with the Principal and Counselors, and we are looking to expand. We want you on campus as much as possible, and we are here for you when you need us.
Look to our school website and social media platforms using the handle @RialtoHighASB where you will find documents uploading the next few weeks. The week of July 26 – 30th, you will see our bell schedule, phone directory, school reopening plan and so much more. Also, listen to our Sunday phone call at 6:00 pm on weekly specifics so you know what is available to you and your child. A transcript of each phone call can be found on the website. We look forward to seeing you at Rialto High and look forward to the new year that begins for you on Monday, August 9, 2021 at our new start time of 8:40 am.
