Greetings parents, students, and community members. My name is Jennifer Cuevas and I am the proud and enthusiastic Principal at Kucera Middle School in the Rialto Unified School District. It is with tremendous excitement and enthusiasm that I welcome you all to the 2024-2025 school year. This school year marks my eighth year as an administrator in Rialto and my 19th year overall as an educator. I began my career as a middle school math teacher in 2006 and I have served this community as Assistant Principal at Carter High School and Eisenhower High School. I am committed to supporting Kucera as we strive to be a middle school of exceptional distinction.

Hello Kucera Families!

Today we will be hosting the first Parent Conferences for this semester. It will be held from 1:00 to 2:45 and everyone will enter through the MPR. The first 75 families to arrive will get an In' n Out card. This is an amazing event and an opportunity to get a copy of their grades and meet with each teacher.

2025 Nourish to Flourish Contest
We are excited to invite all K-12 students to participate in the 2025 “Nourish to Flourish” Contest, presented by the Southern California School Nutrition Association (SCSNA) Chapter 1. This year’s theme, “A Story of School Nutrition Champions,” is a celebration of the vital role our school nutrition professionals play in shaping the health, well-being, and success of students. This contest is an updated take on the "I Love My School Lunch Hero Contest" that has been in place in previous years.
Why Participate?

School nutrition professionals in California serve over 4 million children daily and prepare more than 750 million lunches annually. Their work goes far beyond providing meals—they create welcoming, positive environments where students feel cared for and supported. These unsung heroes deserve recognition for their dedication, commitment, and impact on healthier futures for our children.

Contest Categories:

Students may submit one entry only in one of the following categories:
1. Art: Visual art (drawing, painting, or digital media) showcasing school nutrition professionals or the importance of healthy meals.
2. Poetry: Poems reflecting themes like nutrition, gratitude, or the work of the school nutrition team.
3. Short Story: Stories highlighting the life of nutrition staff, an inspiring moment, or the impact of healthy eating. Anywhere between 100 to 600 words.

Kucera School Fundr Fundraiser

SCHOOL FUNDR ACTIVITIES FUNDRAISER

Hello Coyote Families!

Our representative from School Fundr helped our students learn more information about our fundraiser through PE classes. We are raising money in an effort to bring more events, activities, and educational field trips to our students at all grade levels throughout this school year. We are making a strong push to fundraise to make school more engaging and provide our students with more hands-on experience. Our goal is to raise $5,000. However, the more we raise, the more activities we will be able to fund!

Attached you will find a flyer with how to get started! The QR code will take you to a site to create an account to be able to send out emails/texts in order to collect donations. Our ASB program receives 100% of the donations (minus the credit card fees)! Students who send out a minimum of 20 emails will receive a free slushie pass at lunch. We will also be having a Super Surprise Prize Party for those with donations of at least $100.

Kucera Tutoring Hub

The Tutoring Hub starts today from 3-5!

The Tutoring Hub is available every day, Coyotes!

Students who are current bus riders can ride the late bus leaving at 4:45! Bus transportation will not be provided if you are not a current bus rider.

Think Together is available if students need to continue after tutoring is over.

Our four enrichment programs will start on September 16th. More information will be provided later.

Visit our online spirit store to view new items as they are put up throughout the year and in case of flash sales because there is a flash sale going on NOW through this Friday on Hispanic Heritage shirts! Valentine Grams

Valentine Grams are on sale from February 5-11 during both lunches for $1. Students can send a gram with a special treat to a friend and grams will be delivered on February 14th.
