Rialto Unified School District provides FREE in-person tutoring at nine identified hub schools in the North, Central, and South regions of Rialto. Our new "Satellite Tutoring Centers" located at every school provides a variety of tutoring programs. Additionally, in collaboration with Varsity Tutors, online tutors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Yes, it is only for Rialto USD students.

No, students can access the online tutoring service 24/7 from any location.

Yes, students can access the tutoring service from any location utilizing their District issued Clever account.

Do parents need to register their student before the student attends a hub?
No, students can attend any hub, they will register with their ID once they attend.

Do students need to remain in a hub until it closes?
No, students can utilize services based on their need. Students can stay for 5 minutes or until it closes.

Can a student in Middle School attend a High School or Elementary hub?
No, for safety reasons students can only attend a hub based on their grade level.

If a student has special needs or is an English learner, will there be support?
Yes, all hubs have a scheduled tutor who has a background in special education, and a tutor who is bilingual. Services via online, have equal support available.

If a student attends a school that is identified as a hub, can the student participate in Think Together & the Tutoring Hub Program?
If a student attends a school that has been identified as a hub, the student is able to participate in both programs. Parents will simply need to complete a "program form" with the Think Together coordinator to approve participation in both programs. Think Together staff will coordinate the tutoring sessions with the site's tutor lead. Additionally, students are able to utilize the online tutoring support during their "homework assistance time" during the Think Together program.

If a student attends a school NOT identified as a hub school, are they able to attend the Think Together and Tutoring Hub Program?
The student can attend a hub but will not be able to attend the Think Together program hosted at the hub, as it is not the school of attendance for the student. The student can participate in the Think Together program at their school of attendance and then depart, before or after, to a hub school for support (transportation NOT provided). Additionally, students are able to utilize the online tutoring support during their "homework assistance time" during the Think Together program at any school.

If I have children in high school and middle school, can they both attend the same hub?
No, for safety reason each student needs to attend a hub based on their grade level.

Are hubs open during holidays, school breaks or Summer?
No, hubs are only open during the regular school calendar, please see schedule for certain closed days based on commencement of school breaks. (Online support is open)

Are there any days the hubs are closed during the regular school instruction calendar?
Yes, there are a few days the hubs will be closed, the days are identified in the hub schedule.

Will transportation be provided to hub locations?
No, students will be able to use the online tutoring service.

Do parents need to walk into a hub with their student ?
Parents of elementary students will need to walk their student to a hub the first time they utilize the selected hub service. The tutoring lead will distribute a student "walk home permit slip" for the parent to complete. Parents are welcome to wait for the student or allow their student to walk home based on the permit slip.

Are students able to make an appointment with a hub tutor?
No, tutoring services are in demand, tutors are available during the hub hours. Students can ask the tutor for their schedule if they are planning to do a follow up with a particular topic or assignment.
