The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) provides funding for afterschool and summer school enrichment programs for transitional kindergarten through sixth grade.
“Expanded learning” means before school, after school, summer, or intersession learning programs that focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of pupils through hands-on, engaging learning experiences. It is the intent of the Legislature that expanded learning programs are pupil-centered, results-driven, include community partners, and complement, but do not replicate, learning activities in the regular school day and school year.
Rialto Unified School District (RUSD) seeks to provide equity and access of expanded learning opportunities for each and every student to support the regular school day in creating scholars who can learn at high levels, are culturally responsive, and promote social responsibility in grades Transitional Kinder through Sixth Grade.
RUSD is proud to partner with Think Together to support the Rialto community with ASES (After School Education and Safety), ASSET (After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens/Eisenhower High School only), ELO-P (Expanded Learning Opportunities Program) and Summer Enrichment needs. Think Together staff will work with District and school staff to provide a core base program with a curriculum focused on the whole child.
Think Together Program Evaluation
In an effort to provide continuance improvement on all programs (ASES, ASSETS, 21st Century), evaluations are conducted yearly to assess current programs and needs. Results of the evaluations are available upon request, please contact Agent of Expanded Learning Programs Norberto Perez - Nperez2@Rialtousd.orgLaw
