I was inspired to be a teacher at a very young age. All the way through middle and high school, I worked really hard to make sure I could get into college. In college, I studied Human Development and then earned a teaching credential. I taught 14 years in Pomona Unified School District and now 21 years in Rialto Unified School District. I love it when children learn something new and they are inspired to reach higher heights.

I have been teaching 8th Grade at Rialto Middle School since 2008. In that time I have been able to watch many students find success throughout the course of their 8th-grade year and continue on through high school, college, and graduate school.
My passion for teaching social studies comes from my desire to help create a society of people who are well educated, reasonable, and who are prepared to contribute to the growth of a great culture through all areas of the arts and sciences. My studies have included history, political science, as well as business and I hope to encourage students to find their own passion and develop the cognitive resources to fulfill them. Above all, I hope to help students find enjoyment in learning for self-improvement so that they may lead themselves to find a productive place in our society.
