Hello! This is my first year at Carter HS. I am very excited to be here and teach students about child development and guidance, as well as the careers that are available for them within the field of education. The Child Development & Guidance class is the first class in the 2-course Child Development Pathway in the CTE (Career Technology Education) program. Careers with Children is the second class in the 2-course pathway which provides students with the academic and real-world knowledge, skills, training, and experience they need to be prepared for a career in education.

Hello! I started my journey in Rialto Unified in 2018. Before coming to Carter, I taught at another high school as well as 6 years in vocational colleges. Prior to teaching, I worked in the medical field for about 8 years. Some of the companies I worked for include the Children's Hospital in Orange County and St. Jude. Life redirected from working in the medical field to now teaching and sharing my passion for medicine with others. I absolutely love introducing students to the medical world and sparking that interest in them for a potential medical career.
