    Will there be training for employees on COVID-19 safety measures?

    Yes.  All employees will be required to complete assigned training within three days of returning to work.

     

    How and when will District facilities be disinfected?

    All facilities will be disinfected daily, high traffic areas will be disinfected multiple times per day.

     

    What if I am not feeling well and have COVID-19 symptoms, who do I report it to?

    If you are not feeling well and you believe you have COVID-19 symptoms, you should stay home.  Report your absence to your immediate supervisor and Personnel.

     

    What if I begin to feel sick after reporting to work?

    If you are not feeling well and you believe you have COVID-19 symptoms, you should immediately notify your supervisor.  You will be isolated, until a member of the District’s Health Services Department can assist you.

     

    How will the District ensure that my coworkers are practicing good hygiene?

    The District will promote good hygiene practices, which includes signage, education, training and encouragement.

     

    Will I need to purchase my own personal protection equipment (PPE)?

    No. The District will supply appropriate PPE to all staff.

     

    What if I have an underlying condition that prevents me from wearing face coverings?

    Report this to Risk Management, you may need an accommodations meeting.

     

    What if I was directly exposed to someone who has now tested positive for COVID-19?

    Report this to Personnel Services, Risk Management and your immediate supervisor.

     

    If I am ordered to self quarantine, what leaves are available for me?

    If you are directed to be quarantined by a healthcare professional, please contact Personnel Services to determine what type of leaves you may be eligible for.

     

    Will I be able to bring a family member on campus?

    No.  The District has specific board policies and administrative regulations regarding family members on campus. 

     

    My child’s school or daycare is closed, will I be able to bring my child to work?

    No.  The District has specific board policies and administrative regulations regarding children in the workplace.  Contact Personnel for more information regarding childcare options.

     

    Will the health questionnaire be limited to COVID-19 related questions?

    Yes.  You will only be asked very specific questions that are directly related to COVID-19

     

    Will I be expected to disinfect my own workstation?

    Yes. All staff will be assigned disinfecting responsibilities.

     

    If I am asked to help take temperatures of students and staff, what type of training will I receive?

    The District’s Health Services Department will provide training for District staff.

     

    How will the District maintain social distancing guidelines?

    The District has taken steps to ensure social distancing with floor-markers, signage and rearranging office furniture.

     

    Will hand sanitizer be available for staff?

    Yes.  The District will supply 60% (or higher) alcohol  based hand sanitizer at all locations.

     

    Can I bring cleaning supplies from home?

    No. The District will supply appropriate cleaning and disinfecting supplies that are approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and on our approved list of cleaning supplies, per the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (CalOSHA).
